Mr. Merola is a Law Clerk with the firm and focuses primarily on bankruptcy, real estate, and corporate matters. Mr. Merola holds a Juris Doctor, with Pro Bono Honors, from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Michigan. Prior to entering the legal field, Mr. Merola amassed a decorated career in real estate, having coordinated and managed over $100 million in sales volume and over 200 land transactions in over 15 different municipalities across southeast Michigan.
While in law school, Mr. Merola served with both the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and Nevada Legal Service where he assisted low-income Nevadans in Chapter 7 bankruptcy, deceptive trade practices, and consumer fraud matters, while also teaching, developing, and implementing comprehensive training materials for pro bono Chapter 7 bankruptcy attorneys. In addition, Mr. Merola served as an extern with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and even as an Educator with the Mob Museum. Mr. Merola proudly carries with him a hard work ethic, a keen attention to detail, a true midwestern grit, and a shade of maize and blue in everything he does, and everywhere he goes.
